About Village Social Club

As first time parents in our early 30s, my husband and I found ourselves craving something we couldn’t quite find - community.

We wanted a space where we could still do the things we loved, just now with our babies alongside us. A place to grab a coffee, go for a walk, talk honestly about postpartum life, and connect with other parents who truly get it.

While the KW region has incredible mom groups and family programs, we struggled to find something that felt like the right fit for both of us. Many spaces were geared toward moms only, and online platforms - though well-intentioned - often felt overwhelming or added pressure to “make friends.”

We didn’t just want playdates.
We wanted real connection.

I wanted someone to walk with and chat openly about the emotional and physical realities of postpartum. My husband wanted friends in the same stage of life - people he could talk to about newborn sleep deprivation and the transition back to work.

So instead of waiting for that space to exist, we decided to create it.

That’s how Village Social Club was born.

Village Social Club is a community inclusive of both new moms and dads in the KW region. We’re starting with stroller walks, a simple, low-pressure ways to get outside, move your body, and meet other parents. From there, our vision is to grow into a welcoming hub for coffee socials, baby-friendly workouts, group events, and meaningful connection.

Because raising a baby shouldn’t mean doing it alone.
And every parent deserves a village.
